Read the case below and then answer the questions that follow. Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) group is a large public company which operates throughout the Caribbean. Dr. Rollin Betrand is TCL Group’S Chief Executive Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO is the General Manager, Mr. Satnarine Bachew. Reporting to him are six managers namely, the Operations Manager, who deals with operations and supervises four managers; namely, Production Manager, the Engineering Manager, who deals with maintenance and engineering services; the Quarry Manager, and the Chemist, who heads the laboratory. A technical advisor is assigned the Engineering section and Consultant is assigned to the Chemist. The Human Resources Manager, the Finance Manager, the Planning and Development Manager, and the Marketing Manager also reports directly to the general manager. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the work of three sections – Export Sales, Local Sales and Marketing. A supervisor is assigned to each section in the Marketing department.
